There is the expectation of many individuals involved in industries where significant oversight and accuracy is required for a properly functioning office or department that digital technology will soon completely overtake any other methods of providing proper and accurate inspection models. There has been an interesting movement in recent years regarding the use of mobile technology as it regards inspection software and the ability of companies that operate much of their business on the road having the capability to accurately measure what needs to be measured during business hours and not during off hours when it might take more time to do so.
One of the great things about the most modern inspection tools these days is that they?re a lot more accurate for mobile usage than they were just a decade or so ago when portable electronics options weren?t nearly so advanced. For the most part people have been restricted from using handy devices in a mobile sense simply because they haven?t been financially viable for most projects or haven?t even existed. For example, just a decade ago, it would have been common for the only mobile option for a person to have to be a significantly sized laptop.
But now with the proliferation of tablet computers and smart phones, utilizing inspection and accuracy software on the road has not only become possible, it?s become almost standard in many professions where the bulk of the work takes place outside the office and on the road or at alternative facilities that don?t belong to the company.
